THE STUDIO NOTEBOOK

Prepare a print download buyers understand

A useful digital-art pack tells the buyer which file to open, which sizes it supports, and what to expect from printing. Clear filenames and a small reference guide can prevent avoidable confusion.

1. Use one clear collection name

Choose a short descriptive name, such as olive-study. FolioKiln adds each ratio to the filename: olive-study_2x3.jpg or olive-study_4x5.jpg. Avoid names like final-final-v7.

2. Check every crop

Look for clipped lettering, faces near the edge, or a signature that disappeared. If a crop cannot preserve your composition, use a white border or omit that ratio. A complete set is less important than a good result.

3. Keep the size reference with the art

The ZIP includes READ-ME.txt with output dimensions, supported print sizes, and source-resolution notes. Review it before delivery. Preview packs are watermarked and marked as previews; never sell them as print files.

4. Inspect the actual files

Unzip the download and open every JPEG. Confirm that the filenames, composition, and visual detail match your listing. Digital samples on a monitor are not a substitute for a print proof.

5. Check your marketplace's current limits

Marketplaces differ in the number and size of files they accept. Our ZIP is an organized download, not a guarantee that a particular marketplace will accept it. If it is too large, split the files into smaller packages using your operating system. FolioKiln does not automatically upload products or create listings.
